Sky Ranch Programs: YouthGO!

Who's coming?

The YouthGO! program is for students who have completed grades 9-12.

Youth must be 16 to return as Staff-in-Training.

What activities do I get to do?

YouthGO! is a young adult leadership development program. You'll be "on the go" for two weeks as you participate in the mission community of Harvest Farm, learn outdoor skills on a backpack adventure through Comanche Peak Wilderness and fine tune your community leadership skills at Sky Ranch. Following this two week program, you can return later in the summer as a "Staff in Training" and receive a stipend for your time (you can actually earn back the cost of the program). As a "Staff in Training" member you can assist a counselor with camp programs or serve in a Ranch Hand capacity. You'll fine YouthGO! to be one of the most awesome group development programs you've ever experienced. Space is limited. Small Groups How we relate and learn as a diverse community with individual gifts and personalities is the focus while on trail in the Comanche Peak Wilderness.

Personal Philosophy Journaling, reflection and conversation help us focus on our goals and allow us a glimpse into our potential impact on our community.

Service Learning More than just hammers and shovels, service for others becomes hospitality that teaches us who we are.

Worship To be able to share what we believe, we need to know who we are and where we came from. Living among God's faithful people in a worshiping community offers time to explore our Lutheran identity.

Community Ropes, cabin life and group initiatives at Sky Ranch offer chances to learn about each other as we learn about ourselves.
