Four Wind Servant Programs through the L Double R "I did not come to be served but to serve," Jesus said in Matthew 20:28, and we follow the invitation of Jesus to serve one another through our Four Winds Servant Camps. L Double R offers two servant programs through Sky Ranch and other agencies along the Front Range of the Rockies. We invite you and your group to come offer yourselves, serving God and showing love to many. Blisters and Blue Jeans: Service Projects with L Double R Because L Double R is dependant upon the good will of camp participants, many people enjoy completing a project while staying at Sky Ranch or Sleepy Owl Ranch. If you choose to help us with a service project, you can expand to join our community for worship and campfire, have meaningful work with a sense of achievement and enjoy the hospitality of our ranches.
Participants must have completed grades 8-12 or be an adult. Contact Sky Ranch at 970-493-5258 if you have a group that wishes to tackle one of these projects. Lodging is available in our platform tent village located on Beaver Creek. The standard week fee covers food and staffing. We can arrange projects for a week or a few days, depending on the time you have available; call for fee quotes on shorter service projects. More registration information here... Harvest Farm : Service Projects along the Front Range Our work camps follow the principles of four leadership themes. We believe that the challenge of meaningful service creates a new sense of community with our coworkers. We believe that community leads to change; our perceptions and biases towards those we do not know well can be left behind. We also believe that together we can seek a new covenant for a more just future. Thus, the four winds of Challenge, Community, Change and Covenant.

Combine service at one of our ranches with hiking in the high mountains
surrounding Sky Ranch! Several projects are planned for Sky Ranch and Sleepy Owl
Ranch in 2005. Normally, groups work at the ranches on Sunday through Tuesday
and begin a hiking program on Wednesday through Friday. Groups should contact
our office to request a specific date and a group proposal that will be sent to
you that describes a unique combination of service projects, hiking and other
ranch programs for you to enjoy. Past projects have included trail building,
painting, furniture making, "Adopt-a-Trail" maintenance programs with the United States Forest Service (near Rocky Mountain National Park), bridge building, fire mitigation projects and erosion control projects. Projects vary considerably from year to year. Bring your gloves, plan on getting dirty and get ready for a few blisters. Dates can be negotiated by the group.
Once again, the L Double R is teaming up with the Denver Rescue Mission to offer Four Winds Servant Camps for high school youth at Harvest Farms. Harvest Farms provides residential treatment for men, providing educational opportunities and vocational training in a working farm environment. Stay in a small retreat center or camp on the grounds of Harvest Farms and learn about social issues such as homelessness, drug and chemical abuse and poverty. This program also includes a day of hiking in the Colorado Rockies. Dates are negotiable.
