L Double R Outreach Programs

L Double R provides you with several opportunities for program activities right in your own backyard! You can choose from a wide variety of programs: we'll bring them to your church or community setting and treat you to a high quality program direct from the mountains.

Day Camps

For years, the staff of L Double R has been bringing music, puppets, games, Bible stories, art projects and outdoor education to local churches. We specialize in working with grades 1 through 6. Contact us with your ideas on how we can help you do a Day Camp in your community!

One Week Day Camp: Most churches ask us to provide a week-long day camp program, beginning on Monday morning and lasting through Thursday night or Friday morning. Use us for your Vacation Bible School or a complement to your summer childrens' program! We'll send 2 to 6 staff right to your church or community center, depending on your needs. The camps generally run from 9am to 3pm daily.

Day Camp - Family Style: Organize a Day Camp - Family Style by doing your church or community day camp program in the late afternoon and evening. We can adapt our program resources to encourage faith-filled relationships with the whole family of God. Bring everyone in your family, including grandparents and grandchildren, single parents or adults, and neighbors too!

Mini Day Camp: Ask us to plan a short three-day week for your group. We'll provide you with all the fun and excitement of a full-week day camp and work with you to make sure you can fit your schedule and budget. It's a great "filler" for the 4th of July week or as a first camp experience for our youngest children.

Sleepy Owl Day Camp : Organize a Sleepy Owl Day Camp! Maybe you live within driving distance of Sleepy Owl Ranch. If so, you can bring your young children up into the mountains for a day camp. We'll add the dimensions of outdoor cooking, hiking and games into your experience!

Adult Outreach

Learning to love, respect, laugh and work together in our Christian community doesn't stop after we leave Sunday School. Adult members of your congregation will benefit from L Double R's popular series of adult outreach programs. Let us give you a taste of camp in your church council, boardroom, Bible study or youth group! You'll love the camp activities and group initiatives as your gathering learns, sings, laughs and prays.

Senior Camp : Using the nationally-acclaimed curriculum Bi-Folkal©, our full time staff is able to offer programs for senior adults in your congregation. Using tactile and memory stimulating materials and activities, these day events are a great way to encourage seniors to celebrate their lives together and share in deep, personal friendship.

Church Council Group Initiatives: Yes, we train leaders. It's been part of our organization forever. And now we can bring our portable game initiatives and low ropes equipment to your church or meeting location to develop group interaction skills. Imagine training your leaders how to cooperate, how to identify gifts, how to communicate and how to facilitate good decision making processes. It takes a minimum of 4 hours but pays big dividends!

Youth/Family Group Base Elements: Use our portable ropes challenges and initiatives to build community among youth and families! We can share a wide variety of activities and help to process their meaning with you. Learn the importance of communication, sharing, listening and work together to achieve what is impossible alone.

Staff Development Workshops: Church staff leaders can benefit from discovery workshops that teach mutual respect, lift up gifts and help organize effort. Our staff will provide you with a day retreat package that offers Biblical insight, interaction opportunities and reflection time. Invest in your staff!
