Introducing Sky Ranch!

Sky Ranch is located in the Pingree Park area of northern Colorado, just 55 miles from the center of Fort Collins, CO. Since its beginning, Sky Ranch has provided thousands of people with a mountain experience in Christian community. Sky Ranch is owned by Lutheran Ranches of the Rockies. Its 117 acres are surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of wilderness, including Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a perfect location for summer camping, retreats, conferences and outdoor activities.

Sky Ranch was the homestead of the pioneer Tom Bennett. At the turn of the last century, Bennett established his homestead near the north border of what is now Rocky Mountain National Park. Ranching proved unfeasible at its 9200 foot elevation and though a single gold nugget found locally brought a brief flurry of activity, it was the mountain wilderness that enchanted visitors at Sky Ranch. Today, Sky Ranch is a thriving mountain community, offering exciting outdoor adventures for children, youth, families, adults and volunteers from throughout the country and beyond! All are welcome, so come join the fun!

The property includes a modern lodge, nine bunkhouses, a private campground, several miles of hiking trails, lodgepole pine forests and fabulous views of the Mummy Range of the Colorado Rockies. The photo at the top of this page is the view from our outdoor deck. Beaver Creek flows through the property. An outdoor chapel overlooks Stormy Peaks and campfire areas provide quiet, reflective places to meet.

The lodge includes seven spacious bedrooms for fall and spring retreat groups, a dining room, a large group meeting space and fireplace areas. L Double R staff are able to assist groups with orientation, group building activities, speakers and programs, meals and hosting services.

Overnight Accomodations: For fall and spring retreat events, Sky Ranch can accomodate up to 84 youth or 15 families. In addition, the campground provides space for up to 14 trailer or camping units. During the summer, Sky Ranch retreat facilities are available on weekends or before or after the summer camping season. Cabin rentals and comfortable lodge rooms are available on weekends for families and groups.
