Babysitting
Coop |
The
babysitting co-op is a group of moms who share babysitting.
We have weekly drop-offs and also do some trading of sitting
on an individual basis. Please join us at one of our meetings
to find out how we operate and how you can become involved.
Please call for more information or to attend a meeting
or drop-off.

Care
Providers
Committee |
As
a member of this committee you will help shape the criteria
for Care Providers in the nursery. Work with the Care Provider
Coordinator, sit in on interviews for potential Care Providers,
and check references so we can ensure the highest quality
of babysitting possible.
|
Finance
Committee |
This
committee consists of the Financial Coordinator and a paid
external bookkeeper. The Financial Coordinator is responsible
for depositing money, providing documents to the bookkeeper
and writing checks. This is a great way to maintain
your resume! |
Membership
Committee |
This
group is responsible for answering questions about Mothers’ Center
to members or potential members, answering our voice mail
and email, maintaining our mailing list, coordinating volunteers
for the committees and other programs, sending out weekly
emails for programs coming up, coordinating assistance
of meals to members with new additions to the family, and
contacting new members. If you would like to help with
a job that you can do from home, this is a great committee.
|
Newsletter
Committee |
This
committee creates our fabulous newsletters (3 times per
year). From beginning to end this group does it all. We
may solicit advertisements, articles, and bits and pieces
of fun information to include in the newsletter. If you
would like a job you can do from home, consider this committee
where you could use your marketing skills, editing skills,
and coordinating skills by organizing the brochure distribution;
or if desktop publishing is your thing, you could put the
newsletter together.
|
Programming
Committee |
Want
to help shape the program calendar? This group might be
for you! We start by brainstorming program ideas and playgroup
activities and then recruit program hosts. Provide program
write-ups to the editor and/or webmaster to share with
our members via the newsletter or the website. This committee
is vital to Mothers’ Center success; join us!

Public
Relations Committee |
The
Public Relations Committee works to build relationships
in the community that facilitate the mission and goals
of Mothers’ Center. We work to collaborate with other
parenting groups for community outreach programs, organize
press releases and other promotions for Mothers' Center
events, and have a presence at events in the community
to disseminate information about Mothers’ Center.
If you are interested in helping Mothers' Center reach
more families in the Fort
Collins area,
consider this committee.
|
Steering
Committee |
This
committee consists of all members who volunteer for positions
on the MC Organizational Chart. Each month this
group gets together to discuss the Mothers' Center business.
Members from each MC committee usually attend, and all
Mothers' Center members are encouraged to participate at
this meeting. Steering Committee members take turns
hosting this committee and the Secretary is the chair of
the meetings. |
Fundraising
Committee |
Are
you great with organizing fundraisers? Do you have experience
or want to gain experience in grant writing? This committee
is fundamental to the continuation of the Mothers’ Center!!
We have several great fundraisers that we do on an annual
basis, and are always open to new opportunities! If
you have experience or want to gain some, this is the committee
for you!
