Outdoor Activities

The International Center organizes outdoor activities for all interested students. The aim of the outdoor activities program is to provide an active and fun environment for students to exchange their experiences in the USA and to show them how beautiful Colorado and its surroundings are. Activities vary from hiking and skiing to four-day trips in neighboring states.

Here are the activities scheduled for this fall 2008 semester.

 

  • Sunday, August 24-- Explore Colorado Trip: see views from a top Mt Evans, explore the Red Rocks Amphitheater and dine in Downtown Denver.

  • Saturday, September 6 through Sunday, September 7-- Camping Trip at Lake McCanauhey

  • Saturday, September 12— Midnight Hike to Horsetooth Rock

  • Saturday, September 20—Elk Bugling Trip: Come hike in Rocky Mountain National Park or explore downtown Estes Park, then experience the elk “bugle” as they claim their mates during this fall season.

  • Saturday, November 22—Bob Cat Ridge Hike

  • Saturday, November 29 or December 6—Snowshoe/Cross Country Ski Trip: come learn how to enjoy the winter weather by participating in one of these outdoor recreational activities
