William O. (Bill) Zelt
"I am a sculptor, a naturalist
and a dreamer. I sculpt in clay, which I then cast in bronze. I also carve
wood, a material full of beauty. My inspirations arise from my eclectic
vision of life: Countless hours in forest and field bring me close to nature,
so I enjoy sculpting wildlife; the spirit of mythology and religion interest
me with their images of the past and the future, so I sculpt them as well.
I strive to show the dignity and spirituality of Native Americans in recent
works.
An extended trip through Europe showed
me the tradition behind my art and dreams. Great workshops at the Loveland
Academy of Fine Arts have refined my knowledge of sculpture. Because of
all my teachers, I sculpt. Thanks!
I have won awards in local and regional shows in Colorado, and my sculpture
is in humble peoples' collections across the United States. I am a member
of TVAL, BAA, NCAA, and National Sculpture Society.
Since I was very young, I have been
driven by my soul to sculpt; therefore, for peace, I dream and I sculpt.
May my work give joy and dreams to you." |
