Thelma Weresh "Art is the result of our sensory, emotional and intellectual responses to our interior and exterior environment. Throughout my life I have worked, experienced and experimented with many materials for artistic expression. For me, working three dimensionally fulfills all of these aspects both for me and the art I create." Thelma Weresh, Loveland artist. Thelma Weresh has dedicated her entire life to artistic expression. From an early age, she created images of life on the family homestead in southeastern Colorado. She graduated from the College of Saint Mary with a bachelor's degree in art. She also studied art at the graduate level at the University of Nebraska. She taught art for a number of years.

Several years ago, two doctors engaged in abdominal surgery declared her dead on the operating table, covered her with a sheet and without even closing the incision, sent her to the morgue.

Thelma didn't go easily, however, and she recovered. The experience left a deep feeling that she had something left to accomplish in her life.

• She has appeared on numerous television programs, and in magazine and newspaper articles over the past several years.
  
• She has won high honors in numerous artistic competitions with her bronze sculptures. She has exhibited at national and regional shows and museums.
  
• Her life-size work is on display in the permanent collection in the city of Loveland, Colorado and Littleton, Colorado. It can also be found in private, corporate, academic and public collections.
