The Foundation on Aging for Larimer County has the mission to address the needs of older adults, raise community awareness of those needs, and foster solutions that improve quality of life.

What is the Foundation on Aging?

The Foundation on Aging of Larimer County was founded as a private non-profit corporation in 1986 and was supported by the Larimer County Commissioners and the Larimer County Office on Aging.

A major portion of the Foundation's initial investment came from the bequest of the late Mildred Arnold, an active and concerned senior citizen in our community who wanted to help older adults who have needs which might otherwise not be met.

Foundation programs and agency grant applications are reviewed and approved by a voluntary board of community members concerned about the well being of seniors in Larimer County.

Board members:
Nancy Driskill, President
Bonnie Shetler, Vice President
Beverly Hageseth, Secretary
Mary Shultz, Treasurer

The Foundation's board also collaborates with the Larimer County Area Agency on Aging to explore and develop new sources of funding for the Foundation's grants programs.
